new beginnings & an awesome sunday
goodbye xanga... hello blogger,
goodbye berkeley & long beach... hello san jose & silicon valley,
goodbye college & summer fun... hello working life & PTO...
That's right! I've made the switch, the move, and the transition... all in a couple of months time =]
I must say, the transition has been a shaky one & definitely not easy on a number of levels, however it's been great to have Jeff & Stevo as roommates, new friends & my choice class at cisco, old friends, brothers, & sisters who still check up on me and care/love/pray for me a lot, family that is there to support & love me, and a God who provides, oversees, brings justice, loves, and is with me wherever I go.
Some of the things I have been thankful for (from what I can remember)...
* Message today at Calvin's church was very powerful & convicting
* Being able to go through class at work with new friends in the group I chose (Bryan, Preethi, Tanya)
* Having picked a group at Cisco (security!)
* Football today with Dan, Eric, Sosho, Jeff, Stevo, and Dan/Eric's church friends
* Saturday Cal games (even though we lost...)
* Lunches, din dins, pushups, and TF2 with Jeff & Stevo
* Having brothers & sisters to visit churches with
* Awesome friends helping us warm up our new home with us =]
* Our apartment not burning down O_O
* Being able to film Kim & Joe Bass' wedding (and hanging out with John/Kat, Kenny, Ryan)!
* Relaxation time at home after work
* Being excited about what I'll get to do (eventually, when I'm up to speed) at work
* New responsibilities & cares to be challenged with and grow in
* Calls back home to my dad, bachan, and mom
* Answered prayer from the Lord for my dad, bachan, and mom in so many ways
* An abundance of church bodies in the area faithfully living out the Gospel
* The chance to make an impact in different ways in the community
* A new desire to take action & get things straight again
* Times for exercising & staying healthy
* Great times visiting Berkeley, AACF, and Royston
* Hoping that Urban Grace & Living Water continue to grow & flourish
* The Lord who judges all of creation & people, bringing justice & strength to the poor, weak, and abused.
* God, in whom we can put our ultimate trust for all things related to life and godliness.
* Jesus, who loves me & was the propitiation and final word for my sins.
* Holy Spirit, who convicts me that all glory in all things and all situations goes to the Father.
oh and, btw, giraffes are pwnage =]
